Boema S.p.A. manufactures lines for chestnuts peeling with steam.

The chestnuts, previously sized and separated from foreign bodies, pass through a multi blade scoring machine that performs a series of cuts on the skin. From this point the product is conveyed to a worm screw boiler and to a belt for skin separation where the skin and the inner film are removed. The end of the line will be composed of a manual sorting belt and a tank containing rinse water with extraction elevator. The chestnuts at output will be peeled and ready to be frozen.
